Star Wars Black Series 6" Kanan Jarrus

"Focus your fire on... on the Jedi!".

Oooh yeah! Star Wars Rebels getting the 6" scale treatment! I love the series. Kanan looks pretty good. There is some likeness in the head sculpt. He reminds me of John Travolta's Vincent Vega from Pulp Fiction for some reason. I blame social media for that. The goatee has a bit of texture to it. There's good detail in his hair. He's got a pony tail. I like that there's some light brown highlights in his hair. His attire is excellent. There's lots of great detail. The armour piece and strap on his upper torso were sculpted on. The shoulder piece is separate and stuck on. Despite it there's good articulation in his arm. His shirt has the vertical lines pattern and is textured. His pants are also textured. It also has lots of wrinkles in it. The holster straps which are attached to the sculpted belt is long and flexible enough to allow leg articulation. The paint apps are okay. They did the half and half colours on his left sleeve well enough. The armour pieces have a metallic dark greenish grey. The logo on the shoulder armour was well painted and has a bit of black wash. One negative is that his right leg is longer than his left.

Accessories. He comes with his lightsaber and a blaster pistol.

I love that his lightsaber comes in the different components. This is something that's unique to him. It has good sculpted detail and also good paint detail. A great thing is he can carry the lightsaber components on his belt. The smaller piece fits in front and the grip behind. He can hold the lightsaber well in either hand.

He also carries a blaster pistol. I like the gun metal colour they used and it also has a bit of black shading on it. It looks very similar to Nick Fury's needle gun. I tried it with the Nick Fury from the Giant Man BAF series and it fits in his hand well. Here's something you can do with the smaller lightsaber component. You can take it as a communicator which the crew sometimes use.

Articulation. He's got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ball joint torso, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, and ankle hinge and pivot. He can look up and down well. Head rotation is a little troublesome due to his neck being poorly attached on my figure. The whole neck turns when I turn the head. The range of motion of the shoulder hinge is good. He can stretch his arms to the sides well. Even the right arm with the shoulder armour. The torso joint is of little use.

Comparison shots. Kanan is a tall guy. He's slightly shorter than Darth Vader which is accurate. I looked it up.

Great figure! There's great detail and articulation. And I love the accessories. Thanks for viewing!
