Marvel Legends Series 6" Nuke

The third wave of Marvel Legends in three months! Hasbro is really churning them out. Not that I mind but I could use a breather. Anyway first up is Nuke.

Hail to the king baby! Not that one? Oh yeah right. Sorry about that. This here is Marvel's Nuke. Big, powerful guy. Quite crazy. No prizes for guessing as to where he's from. He's got a great head sculpt. There's nice sculpted detail. With slanted eyebrows and gritted teeth you know he's angry. The American flag was very well painted on his face. On close inspection you can see how clean and straight the lines of the stars are. Good stuff! The body looks good. I like what they done with it. It uses the Hyperion torso with new slimmer looking legs. The proportions look much better here. There's lots of wrinkles in the pants and good detail on the boots. The knee pads have some silver dry brushing on them. The army vest is a separate piece. It has great detail on it. It's textured in some areas. There are several pouches and straps, and he carries ammo shells and grenades on it. On the back is a sheath for his knife. The buckles were painted and I like that it has some shading on it. The belt too is a separate piece.

The vest can be removed. It unpegs at the buckle in front. I really like that we have this option. It offers another look for him and also huge customising potential. This can be any military character. I have a good mind of getting a Arnold Schwarzenegger done.

Accessories. He comes with an alternate head, a rifle and a large knife. The BAF part is the Giant Man torso.

The alternate head reflects his look in modern times. He shaved his head. He's battle damaged here and has his cybernetic parts showing. They did an excellent job of this. He looks really menacing. I like the creepy giant eyeball. The cybernetic parts seem to have been crudely put together. The plates have a welded look thanks to some black shading and you can also make out the rivet holes. There's also a bit of brown on the metallic grey which makes it appear rusty. Very nice! The knife is the same as the one that came with Warpath. The handle is green and the blade black with a silver edge.

The rifle is the same one that came with the AIM Soldier. This one has a silver, blue and red colour scheme. I don't know if he ever used this weapon in the comics. He can grip it okay in his right hand. It's a little loose in his left.

Articulation. He's got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, calf swivel and ankle hinge and pivot. He can look up and down very well. The use of the ab crunch will cause the vest to be raised, stretched and pulled away from the body. The vest buckle peg will threaten to pop but it won't. The knees bend back a little more than 90 degrees before the pants sculpt gets in the way.

Comparison shots.

Great figure! I didn't expect to like him as much as I do. Thanks for viewing!

Since he debuted in Daredevil, you think we can get a picture of the two of them fighting

This is about the only figure in this wave I'm looking forward to buying. I usually stay away from the movie themed characters. Thanks for sharing.
