Kaiyodo Revoltech Star Wars C-3PO

There's no sign of a C-3PO coming from Hasbro yet so I thought I get the Revoltech version first. Having had a look at it this may be the only 6" scale C-3PO figure we'll need!

C-3PO comes packed in a tray. There's a lot of space left. They probably could have fit in the Ewok sedan chair if they wanted to.

This is a great looking figure. The sculpt is superb and there's lots of great detail all over. The eyes have the vertical lines in them. The wires at his mid-section, elbows and back of his knees were sculpted and well painted. Another notable bit of detail are the sculpted square pieces in his hands. Outstanding! The paint apps are great. I like the tone of the metallic gold. There's also some shading in the grooves and at the raised sections. One major gripe is the hole in his backside. The less said about that the better.

"I surrender."

A closer look at his arm. The connecting piston is removable. The upper portion has a peg where it attaches to the arm. There's a slot on his forearm for the piston to slide which allows you to move the elbows while maintaining its "attached" look. The elbows cannot be fully straightened due to the sculpt.

Accessories. He comes with an extra pair of interchangeable gripping hands. It's great that he has them. Now if only he had something to hold. He should have come with at least a communicator.

I tried a blaster pistol with him and it fits! It's about time he joined the action. Lol.

He also comes with a mouse droid. It's got great sculpted detail on it. The wheels are fixed and do not roll.

Articulation. He's got Revoltech joints at his neck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, torso, knees and ankles. The hips have peg joints and there's thigh swivel. I know C-3PO basically just walks but still, I would have liked if the hips had Revoltech joints as well. It would make for some fun poses.

Comparison with Hasbro's Star Wars Black 6" figures. I think C-3PO fits in well.

Great figure! I recommend picking this up. It costs more but I think it's worth it. Thanks for viewing!

Too Funny, was just looking for 3PO figures on eBay this morning and kept looking at getting this figure.

Didn't know the scale exactly, so thanks for your post. They seem to be going around $50-60.

Not a big SW fan (since the original 'Jedi'..), but have been investing on the vintage stuff (pre-'83) lately. But I couldn't pass up the huge Legacy Falcon a few weeks back and this figure does look awesome.

Great post.
