Marvel Legends Infinite Series Thor (Marvel NOW)

The God of Thunder!

This is the Marvel NOW! Thor. He's half casual and half armoured to me. I don't mind the look but it wouldn't be my preferred choice. The figure shares the same body as the version from the Terrax Series. The face sculpt is the same but they sculpted him a new helmet which they did a great job of. The winged helm is larger than what he previously wore and it has good detail. It's painted with a metallic silver and has some black shading on it which gives it a great look. Attached at the back of his helmet is a leather like neck flap. I don't quite get why he needs it. Is he afraid of a little sun? He has new arms. The wrist bands were sculpted on, as were the studs on them. The paint apps are good. The majority of his attire is now black and I like the richness of it. The cape reuses the same one but now has darker shading. He suffers from wobbly knees and won't be able to hold certain poses.

He comes with Mjolnir. It's the same as the one that came in the Terrax Series. This one (in his right hand in the pic below) though has darker shading on the head and has a darker brown handle.

Also included is a sword. It's made of a stiffer type of plastic. It's got great sculpted detail on the blade. There's a gem near the hilt with streaks coming out from it. I would have liked if it had some paint detail. Based on the design I think it belongs to King Thor. No harm in letting him use it now. The sword can be stored at his waist strap or in his cape if you like.

Articulation. He's got a ball joint neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, swivel hinge elbows, swivel hinge wrists, torso pivot, ball hinge hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle swivel and hinge. The neck flap hinders neck rotation and the head will pop off when the flap hits the cape.

Comparison shots. He's fairer than the Heroic Age Thor.

Avengers NOW! is getting there. I'll like the black and gold Iron Man which I think Hasbro will release eventually. Thanks for viewing!
