Marvel Legends Infinite Series Scarlet Witch (Maidens of Might)

Oooh yeah! New Marvel Legends! I've been looking forward to this. There are so many great figures in this Avengers wave. First up is Scarlet Witch.

The packaging is similar to previous Marvel Legends Infinite Series. Except the sides now feature awesome black and white sketches of the characters.

Scarlet Witch was a much needed figure. The Toy Biz version just didn't cut it any more. This figure I'm sure you'll agree is a significant improvement. She's got a good head sculpt. The paint detail on her face was well applied. She wears an uninterested look though. Her headpiece is a separate piece. Her hair has lots of nice detail. Nice that there's some black shading in it. She's in her classic costume. The body is basically the Medusa body with a new upper torso. I initially thought it was the same as Emma Frost's but the sculpted detail is different. The paint apps are okay. The red on her upper torso and limbs are of a different tone than her lower torso. They have gloss. There's some red bleeding onto her skin at her upper torso. She wears a flowy, detailed cape. It's got some black shading on it. It weighs her back and she tends to fall backwards. That along with her high heeled shoes make her troublesome to stand.

Accessories. She comes with two pink hex effect pieces. They look great. The main circular section has a bit of a swirl on it which you may not be able to see in the pics. There are small loops on them which allow them to be attached on her wrists. I suggest removing her hands first and then sliding them on. I tried to wiggle them on initially and it caused a stress mark.

I was thinking the bigger loops might work on male characters but unfortunately they are too big. But you can still make it work.

Articulation. She's got a ball joint neck, ball hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbows, swivel hinge wrists, torso pivot, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. Head rotation is hindered by her hair. It can be turned but she will end up looking downwards. Her cape will get in the way of low poses. On the other hand it will help support her.

Comparison shots. Wanda is all grown up now. She's a little too tall compared with the likes of Captain America.

This is a good figure overall. She's just a little on the tall side. Thanks for viewing!
