Funan Anime Matsuri 2014 was held from 9 to 15 June 2014. I went on the weekend as that's when the event is more happening.
Here's a quick look at some of the things that went on. La Tendo had a booth and they were selling lots of anime toys and merchandise.
Nearby there was a One Piece ship collection showcase and a display of Good Smile Company (GSC) figures.
More shots of GSC figures here.
You could try out the One Piece: Unlimited World Red game which will be released later this month.
Various Bushiroad card games tournaments were going on. There were also workshops and free fights.
Players of Million Arthur could take part in special Boss events and win limited edition merchandise.
Up on level 5 of the mall was the Creators Hub where you could pick up unique items made by local and regional artists.
On Friday 13 June 14, a press conference for Gundam: Duel Company was held. Gundam: Duel Company is a game which combines trading cards with online gaming. I wish I could show you the slides but what was shown on screen was blurry.
Anyway here's what I can remember. The open beta will be available on 4 July 2014 and the launch will be on 25 July 2014. Version 0 starter packs which will be available in early July can be used in the open beta. The starter packs will cost SG$12.90. Booster packs will cost SG$4. There are currently a total of 103 cards to collect. 66 mobile suit cards and 37 pilot cards. The more packs you buy, you are entitled to promotional cards. If you get the same card, you can actually register it again and level up that particular suit. There will be special store events where you can compete as well.
Visit the Gundam: Duel Company site for more info.
Here's a Campaign Code for you. Register [duelcompany] on the website and receive a GOUF card.

Moving on to some stage activities. There were a number of invited cosplayers from the region. They include Lita, Akatsuki Tsukasa, H, Sakuya, Hana & Baozi and YingTze. There was a Meet & Greet session with all of them on Saturday.
Over three days, they also conducted several workshops in sewing, wig styling, make-up and so on.
A cosplay singles competition was held on Sunday. Contestants were picked by the guest cosplayers at the event. The selected contestants all had great costumes and they just had to do three poses on stage.
The winner was this Zaku.
I had a great time there. I had fun looking at the displays and taking photos.
