Have you caught Captain America: The Winter Soldier yet? If you haven't, you should. The show is awesome! There's something larger at work than just the Winter Soldier. Lots of great action and great characters. This was the best I've seen of Cap. Falcon was well introduced and is a good fit. Winter Soldier kicked ass. There are two end credits scenes. I can't wait to see how it all comes together.
Right. Here's a look at two figures from the movie, Captain America and Falcon.
A man needs his uniform. From the trailers you'll know that he puts on the one he wore in World War II again. The figure has him in that. It's pretty accurate. One red stripe is noticeably missing from his mid section though. The body is all new sculpt I think. One thing for sure it's not a reuse of the First Avenger Super Combat Cap figure. It's got lots of of great sculpted detail. The whole uniform is textured. The star on his chest is too big but I don't really mind it. I like the colour tones used on him. The paint application was well done. The buckles on the his chest and boots were painted silver. I wish the belt and gun had some painted detail as well. The gun cannot be removed. The head sculpt is decent. He looks off due to the thick flesh paint and poor eye paint. My figure is cross eyed. The A and wings were painted on very well.
He comes with a bottle cap shield. It's one of the worst shields he can come with. It's thick and has only a peg for him to hold it by. At least it attaches to his back and has good paint.
The shield is to be used with the included launcher. You push the red lever at the back and the shield launchers. A nice touch on the launcher is the flip up cross hairs. The gimmick accessories can be used with the roleplay helmet. You can pass them along to someone who has it if you don't need them.
Next up is Falcon. He's got a good likeness. You can't see it, but there's actually a strap for the goggles which goes round the back of his head. There's lots of detail on his body. There's all sorts of padding, straps and buckles on his suit. I would have liked if they had some painted detail, maybe dark grey or something. Like the colour of his pants. His pants have some light grey shading on them. It gives them a worn look. The silver thingys on his forearms stand out and seem out of place. As things are, I would rather they have been left unpainted. His wings are made of soft, flexible plastic and they cannot be removed. One part of the wing is attached to the upper arm and the other half is attached to the forearm. I like the criss cross design on them.
He comes with a flight pack which you attach on his back. It's slim and has good detail on it.
He also comes with a launcher. You can attach it on his back or have him hold it. I wish he came with some hand guns. After all his hands were sculpted with trigger fingers.
Articulation. Cap has a ball joint neck, ball hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbows, 360 degrees type hips with hinge, thigh swivel and swivel hinge knees. He cannot raise his arms straight up due to the uniform jutting out quite a lot at the shoulders. The left hip hinge is very loose on my figure. So loose I had a tough time posing him, even for the couple of shots below.
Falcon has a ball joint neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, elbow hinge, wrist swivel, 360 degrees type hips with hinge, thigh swivel and swivel hinge knees. That's some nice articulation in the arms. I wish the torso and ankles had some joints. The knees cannot bend much due to the thick calf padding.
Comparison shots.
These two are okay figures. Hopefully there'll be better versions of them. Thanks for viewing!

I hope the MU's are just as good.
These figures could've been much better if they added a chest articulation. :))
The Falcon looks pretty awesome! I'm wondering if Hasbro would come up with a 6-inch Marvel Legends scale with this guy.
If you're still wondering, after all these years, the WW2 Captain America Figure is a repack from the 2012 Avengers movie toyline, originally called the "Rocket Grenade Captain America." It had a proper shield, a different missile-launching accessory, and variant with an unmasked head.
