Get ready for some Rock N' Roll!
I first got to know of Rock N Roll (RnR) through buying his V2 3.75" figure back then. I always try to get more more value and RnR fit the bill. He came with two gatling guns and ammo belts. It was a really cool figure. They've brought him back to his original vocation here. That, is a gunner so we don't get the gatling guns. The accessories are still cool though which we'll see later.
RnR is from the early batch of Joes. It's no surprise he has an older appearance. And a retro looking attire. His greenish white shirt with the dark olive green at the top has an 80s vibe. Wonder if he was a promoter for 7-Up on the side. Lol. The two bandoliers across his chest is one separate piece. The bands on his wrists, belt, holster and pouch on his leg are also separate pieces. He has tattoos on both his arms. I can't make out what they are supposed to be. The one I can make out is the Mom tattoo on his right bicep. His pants and boots are textured. His belt is textured and has some nice sculpted detail on it. Would have liked if it had a little paint detail.
You ever see that meme with the bearded man? That's who RnR reminds me of. Lol. RnR has a rugged appearance. I really like how his hair and beard turned out. Very detailed and it has some shading on it. You can tell he's an older Joe. He has quite a bit of facial lines and wrinkles on his face.
To show you the Mom tattoo on his bicep.
Accessories. He comes with a helmet, a machine gun, a long ammo belt, a short ammo belt, an ammo box, a pistol, a walkie talkie, a right fist and a left rock n' roll salute hand.
There's a good amount of sculpted detail on his helmet. The ear muffs and the pouch on the back are brown in color. The "Hang Ten" on the front was well printed on.
There's a tattoo of a mouth of a skull on the back of his left hand. Both the default and rnr hand have it. Inspired by Jared Leto's Joker? It looks pretty menacing. Apparently he's into heavy metal. The rnr salute hand is a nice inclusion.
A closer look at the walkie talkie. A minor gripe is the peg on the back which makes it look awkward in some angles.
The short ammo belt is to be inserted in the ammo box.
And the ammo box may be mounted on the machine gun. Alternatively you can load it with the long ammo belt.
The bipod is rather loose and flimsy but it will still do the job.
There are holes on his belt where the walkie talkie and ammo box can be stored. I prefer to put the walkie talkie at his side so his arms can hang closer to his body in a neutral standing pose. Just take note to slant the walkie talkie so the antenna doesn't get bent.
Articulation. He's got a dumbbell joint upper neck, dumbbell joint lower neck, ball hinge shoulders, butterfly joints, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel and up and down hinge right wrist, swivel hinge left wrist, ab crunch, ball waist, ball hips with drop down hinge, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, boot swivel and ankle hinge and pivot. The ab crunch allows one click forward and one click back.
Both the right fist and the rnr left hand are swivel hinge.
Comparison shots.
Great figure! Now get him some gatling guns! Thanks for viewing!
Hey, I'm not really interested in this line of figures, but I just wanted to say... Welcome back, Jason! You've been missed. Looking forward to some Marvel Legends pics.
