What is it about troop builders? They somehow always seem so appealing. It's no different with the Red Ninja. He looks great! I'm liking his gear and the colour tones used for him. The body reuses the Snake Eye's body. The shoulder armour and belt make him look a bit more bulky. They both are separate pieces by the way. The raised collar has enough room for him to turn his head. Except when looking down where his face will press into the collar. The collar is flexible so he can look up with no issues. There's nice detail on the shoulder armour. He's carrying a couple of shurikens on the strap. I like that they and the different sections of the armour was painted. The black area is textured. And so too the black area of the skirt.
I think he's got a great head sculpt. He's wearing a mask. You can make out the edges and the design of it. I like how it looks. Fierce and mysterious. Those white eyes contrasts very well with the black. The paint around his eyes was well done. His hood is textured and has a number of creases in it. I kinda wish he did not have the headband. Then he can double up as a Hand Ninja. He still can be one, we just need to paint away the Cobra symbol.
Accessories. He comes with a three-slot sheath, two axes, two sais, two kamas (sickle like weapon), a standard sword and a Nagamaki sword (long sword). We have seen the weapons before from the deluxe Snake Eyes set. The sheath pack does not peg into his back well and tends to drop out easily.
Now how to make him hold all of his weapons. The swords are straight forward. One at his hip and the other in the centre sheath on his back. I prefer putting the Nagamaki sword at his hip. I think it would be easier to draw it from there. The axes can only go on the back of his waist. The handles are too thick for the sheaths. You can put the sais and kamas either in the sheaths or at his waist.
With the axes I like to put them upside down. In this way the blades don't poke into his back and I imagine he can draw them quickly.
Here's how the sais look at the back of his waist. I don't like how they criss-cross with each other and so I prefer to put them in the sheaths.
Another place you can put the sais is in his belt in front. They look good there. The sais will get warped but at least now everything is stored on his person.
Articulation. He's got a ball hinge upper neck, ball joint lower neck, ball hinge shoulders, butterfly joints, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel with up and down hinge wrists, ab crunch, ball joint waist, ball hips on drop down hinge, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. When he looks down his face will press into the collar. He can look up decently. Due to the shoulder covers he can only raise his arms up in a Y shape.

Great figure! I'm going to need more of him. He's packed one per case though and that makes thing very tough. I only got this one as I bought a set. Thanks for viewing!
