Hi all! How's everyone doing? I hope you're all okay what with the Covid-19 situation and all. Do try and stay safe. Stay at home, avoid crowds, maintain good personal hygiene etc. You've probably heard all this already but another reminder doesn't hurt yes? Alright on to figure. Here's a look at the Jurassic World Amber Collection Owen Grady.
Owen's look is based on his appearance in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. He's wearing a blue shirt, blue pants and a vest. There's a a good amount of detail on his attire. You can make out the seams and buttons. Then there's the wrinkles. The legs look to be the same as with Ian Malcolm's. The rest of the body is new. There's some black shading on his pants. It comes across more like dirt though. His vest turned out better and looks leather like. There's good detail on it and I like that it has some paint for the zips. The position of his sculpted watch is a bit off for my liking. He can't look at it properly. The head sculpt is good. The likeness is spot on. The hair looks good and the five o'clock shadow was well done.
The vest is removable and here's how he looks without it.
This head sculpt is definitely one of Mattel's better ones.
Accessories. He comes with an extra set of open hands, a small knife and a base. I would have liked more accessories but I can't really think of what else to be honest. Perhaps a baby Blue.
There's a small sheath on the back of his belt and the knife may be stored there. He can hold the knife securely in either hand.
Articulation. He's got a dumbbell joint neck, ball hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ball joint torso, waist rotation, peg hinge hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle swivel and hinge. He can hardly look up or down. There's not much range for the torso joint. The ankle hinge is restricted by the sculpt of the pants.
Comparison shots.
Nice figure! Thanks for viewing!
Awesome - love the mash ups with the Guardians of the Galaxy.
