Marvel Legends Series MCU Ronin (Hawkeye)

Let's get back to some Avengers shall we. Here's a look at the MCU Ronin.

I assume you've watched Avengers: Endgame. If you haven't I highly recommend doing so. It's an awesome movie! Some mild spoilers ahead. I'll hide it for you just in case. Simply highlight the text to read. So in the movie Hawkeye becomes Ronin after his family gets "dusted" by Thanos. He was shattered and took out his anger on the remaining criminal elements in the world. Going to the extent of murdering them. His appearance like this was brief and I can't quite recall the look of his attire. It was an action scene and we did not get a good look at him from the front. The figure does look accurate for the most part. Maybe not as much gold on the shoulders, forearms and legs. It's hard to tell. There's a great amount of detail on his attire. His outer coat looks thick and has several compartments. Some areas are textured too. And you can make out the seams and creases in it. The forearm bracers and shin guards were sculpted. I love the painted gold lining deco.

The hood and outer coat is removable. Underneath we get something like how he appeared in the later part of the movie. He wears and all black padded vest body armour. It has some nice detail on it. All the gold deco will have to be repainted black to make it more screen accurate.

Here's a close-up of the head.

The following is my preferred look for him. The hood is rather big and it's neater this way. With the leather like mask there's little indication as to who might be behind it. Aside from the blue eyes that is. The gold outline is actually raised and textured. Love that the mask has some breathing holes in it. Click images to enlarge.

The unmasked head from the Quantum Suit two-pack may be used on this figure. Hawkeye looks great! Love that we have several options in which to display him. Not happy we have to spend more to do so though...

Accessories. The hood piece and the sheath with strap you've seen. Then there's a long sword, a short sword and an alternate left hand throwing shurikens. The BAF piece is the left arm of Thanos. I forgot to take a pic of that as I've already built the figure which you can see here

The swords are suppose to have longish holes in them. We only get a sculpted design of it which is okay I guess considering the scale. There's some nice detail on the handles. His grip on the swords is quite tight. Do take care when making him grip them as you might scrape off some of the black paint from the handles.

Forgot to mention that the inside of his gloved hands are gold in colour which is probably not screen accurate.

He has two swords but only one sheath. It is possible to fit both in that single sheath.

Since the sheath strap is adjustable I was thinking of having him carry one like in the following pic. It will hold and not drop out. It'll look okay when he's viewed from the front.

Articulation. He's got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. With the hood on he can only look down and not up. He can turn his head with it but it'll look awkward. Neck articulation without the hood is fine. The outer coat restricts use of the ab crunch. You can still turn his body. The lower portion of the coat is flexible and he can raise his legs somewhat. Without the coat the ab crunch can go one and a half "clicks" forward and one click back. My figure has loose hips and the legs feel rather soft so I couldn't pose him as good as I would have liked.

Comparison shots. There's some size difference but I wouldn't mind using him with the comic based figures.

Great figure! Nice look and decent accessories. We can also use him as a troop builder as well. Thanks for viewing!
