Marvel Legends Series Fantastic Four Mr Fantastic

Richaaarrrdddsssss!!!

At last! A good looking normal sized comic based Mr Fantastic figure. The previous versions just don't cut it anymore. The one I've been using is the elongated one from the Ronan series. I like that one but at times you need one normal sized figure.

Mr Fantastic is great looking figure. I love the head sculpt. They really nailed his look with this one. There's quite a bit of facial lines which show that he's an older character and also give him a bit of a rugged look. The bit of hair running down his forehead adds to that. For me it gives the impression he got into some action, hence the messed up hair. He has a raised right eyebrow. Something pique his  interest perhaps. I don't mind it but I feel they could have done without it. The torso is new. It has quite a bit of creases and wrinkles for his costume and there's little muscle definition. This suits Mr Fantastic just fine. The arms and legs reuses those of Spider-man. There's some paint rub at his neck area to my annoyance. The logo was applied very well.

A closeup of the head. I really love the head sculpt. And here you can better see his off white hair at the side of his head.

Accessories. He comes with an interchangeable pair of stretched arms and the Ultimate Nullifier. The arms swap in easily at the shoulders. The attachment is loose but are still able to hold their position. He will not be able to hold someone up for example without support. Reed will fall if he stretches his arms out which makes posing him annoying. The arms can be bent. Finding a nice pose with them though will take some doing. I would have liked if he had some stretched legs as well.

The Ultimate Nullifier has some nice sculpted detail on it. The design is similar on both sides of the device and it is spot on to how it appears in the comics. I would have liked if it had some paint detail on it. It is supposed to be held in a certain way. The below is the best I could do, stretching his first finger.

Articulation. He's got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. He can look up and down well. The ab crunch allows one and a half clicks forward and one click back. With the stretched arms there's only ball hinge shoulders.

Comparison shots.

Great figure! One I think even Dr Doom will want to get. For target practice that is. Thanks for viewing!
