Star Wars The Black Series 6" Darth Revan

Here's a look at the Star Wars The Black Series 6" Darth Revan.

Darth Revan is sometimes good, sometimes bad, and sometimes a bit of both. The figure too is a mixed bag. The sculpt is great and he looks really good. But on the other hand while articulation is usable, he looks awkward in a number of poses. One of the main issues I have is the hood section. It is a separate piece stuck on so it doesn't turn when he turns his head. You can imagine how that affects posing. The hood was very well sculpted though. The helmet looks great too. If only we could see the whole thing. I think having alternate heads would have solved the problem. There's great sculpted detail on his attire. There's nice design on the light reddish brown armour and wrinkles on his sleeves. The lower portion of his black robes is soft goods material. The red piece was made of a soft flexible plastic and is attached to the large ring. I like that the bottom of his robes is tattered and torn. The robes allow for some leg articulation but I feel it's not enough. I think making slits in the sides might help. The cape is attached to the hood and it too is tattered and torn at the ends.

Just to show you his leg armour. There's nice detail on them. They have dents and scratches. I also like the metallic silver paint used.

Accessories. He comes with his two lightsabers which have great sculpted detail. Great paint detail too!

One lightsaber has a red blade while the other is purple. Both blades are removable for when they are not in use. I would have liked if he could store the lightsabers on his body.

Articulation. He's got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbows, swivel and up and down right wrists, swivel hinge left wrist, ball joint torso, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. As previously mentioned, while the head can be moved he'll still look awkward with the fixed hood. Also he cannot raise his arms up fully due to the hood piece. Leg articulation is usable but he'll look awkward in some poses due to the restrictive robes. Low poses are hindered by the red piece of his attire.

Comparison shots.

Darth Revan looks good but disappoints in the poses he can do. Thanks for viewing!
