DC Multiverse Superman (Christopher Reeve) & General Zod (Terence Stamp)

Here's a look at the DC Multiverse Superman & General Zod based on Superman: The Movie and Superman II respectively.

Christopher Reeve is still the the best live action Superman for me. I have always wanted a figure of him. The Hot Toys version would be the best one to get but I didn't want to start down that path again. Somehow once you get one Hot Toys figure you'll want to get more. And I'll be less likely to fiddle with it much. I'll make do with this figure. It's not great but you get what you pay for. The head sculpt is off. There's only a little likeness. It looks to me like he had some plastic surgery done. He doesn't look natural. The hair detail is nice though. The body looks fine. I like the colour tones. His trunks and boots have some wrinkles on them which is nice. The S-shield was sculpted on and is too big. The cape has a good look to it and the S-shield was pretty well painted. The lines have a little bleeding.

General Zod fares a little better in the looks department. He's got a better likeness. The hair has good detail. Even the beard was sculpted. The soul patch however was only painted in and it throws his look off a little. The body is out of proportion. The issue is with the legs which are long, thin and awkward. His costume has nice detail on it. There are lots of wrinkles visible. The trimming and boots were painted with gloss black to help differentiate them.

The General comes with a bent and warped rifle. It has good detail and has a nice gun metal colour. I think it's more of an accessory for Non though. Superman does not come with any accessory.

Articulation. Superman's got neck rotation, ball hinge shoulders, elbow hinge, wrist swivel, waist rotation, peg hinge hips, thigh swivel and knee hinge. General Zod has neck rotation, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, elbow hinge, wrist swivel, waist rotation, peg hinge hips and knee hinge.

Comparison shots.

Both figures have issues but I'll keep them to play around. Thanks for viewing!
