Marvel Legends Infinite Series Odin / Future Thor

Odin rounds up this first series of Marvel Legends Avengers. Also future Thor.

Here's the parts list to build the figures:

Scarlet Witch - Odin's head, spear and cape
Captain Marvel - King Thor's head, axe and cape
Hawkeye - torso
Iron Fist - left leg
Thor - right leg
Sentry - Odin's arms
Machine Man - Future Thor's arms

A much wanted figure of Odin has finally been released. He looks okay. I'm not sure when he appeared like this. He's got a great head sculpt. There's good detail in his beard and he wears a stern look on his face. His eye unfortunately was painted looking to his left. The helmet makes his head seem large. It has a very "plasticky" look no thanks to the colour. It should have been gold, like what was shown at SDCC. There's good detail on his armour. I like that they have some black wash on them. They look battle worn. The leather like skirt portion is quite stiff and will restrict leg articulation. The cape is the same as the Marvel Now! Thor's and it pegs into his back.

Here's how the back looks without the cape.

You can also build future Thor. Simply swap the head and left arm of Odin and there you have it, a different character. His right arm is the same as Odin so there's no need to swap it. The left arm can be stubborn to pull out so do be careful. Future Thor appeared not too long ago in the comics. He along with the present and a young Thor teamed up to battle the God Butcher, Gorr. The figure I think suits future Thor better and it is pretty accurate to how he appeared in the comics. He's got a great head sculpt. I like the detail of his hair. His eye-patch was missing a spot of paint but I've filled it up. His eye was painted looking to the right but it's not too bad. In place of his lost arm is that of the Destroyer's. It's got great sculpted detail and has some nice black shading on it. He wears a red cape instead of blue.

Accessories. Odin comes with his spear, Gungnir. I would have like if the spear tip were just a little longer, and it were gold in colour.

Future Thor comes with his axe. It's shape suggest it to be Jarnbjorn, the axe Thor used when he was a youth. There's great wood grain detail on the handle. The axe has seen frequent use. It's got dents on the head and the blade is a little jagged.

Both characters have the same articulation. There's a ball joint neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, swivel hinge elbows, swivel hinge wrists, torso pivot, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. That may sound good but it's not... The elbows can only be bent just a bit. (refer to the pic below) The skirt is quite stiff and it hinders leg articulation. Raising his arms will sometimes cause the shoulder armor to detach..

Odin in action.

Future Thor can only turn his head just a bit as his beard and hair restricts it.

Comparison shots.

Frustrating articulation aside, both characters are decent. More Asgardians please! Thanks for viewing!
