SDCC 2014 Marvel Legends Thanos Imperative Medusa

Continuing with the Marvel Legends figures from the Thanos Imperative set. Here's Medusa.

Medusa is Queen of the Inhumans. She also serves as Black Bolt's interpreter. She has very long hair as you can see. It was very well sculpted. I like that it curves from one side to the other and curled up at the end. Medusa's main ability is the use of her hair and the hair sculpt gives the impression that it's starting to creep up. It also has some black shading in it. Her hair weighs her back though and she has trouble standing. Plus she's wearing heels which doesn't help. It would have been great if her hair were a bit longer so she can use it as support. I think she's got a good head sculpt. She wears a determined look on her face. The eyes and eyebrows were painted very well. I'm not sure what body she's on. I was going to say Moonstone's but they are not the same. The lower half maybe, the top half looks new. The costume she's wearing is the modern one. Shiny paint was used for the purple areas. It was well applied on the torso but not on the legs. The purple on her legs looks scratched up.

Articulation. She's got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbows, swivel hinge wrists, torso pivot, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. Most poses will require the support of her hair. It's hard for her to look down or to the sides as the hair will weigh her head back and make it look awkward.

Comparison shots. I think she's too tall. Black Bolt should be taller than her if I remember correctly.

Medusa is a nice figure. If only her hair were a bit longer and she can stand better. Thanks for viewing!
