Thor: The Dark Work Dark Elf

I've watched Thor: The Dark World. I found it entertaining and enjoyable. It had a Lord of the Rings meets Star Wars kind of feel. Some parts were a little too convenient but overall it's a good show. I hate the ending, in a good way that is. I'm desperate to see what happens in the next installment. There are two end credit scenes, do watch out for them.

Right, here's another Thor 2 figure. The Dark Elf.

This is a great figure. The sculpted detail on it is fantastic. Just check out the gold armor. Great stuff! And there's some black shading on it which makes it look very realistic. He's wearing a Venetian looking type mask. It's designed with sculpted streams of tears flowing from his eyes. (click images to enlarge) The braided hair on top of his head too was very well sculpted. One thing which I don't like about the figure is the black "skirt" portion at the back. It's a little too thick and sticks out and gives him the appearance of having a big behind. My figure has two right feet.... Fortunately it doesn't affect his stability and articulation.

He come with three accessories. A blaster cannon, a staff and a claw weapon. All three weapons have great detail on them. I particularly like the big blaster with its tree bark mixed with technology design. The staff has an Egyptian look to it. The claw like his armor looks very realistic.

Articulation. He's got a ball joint neck, ball hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbows, 360 degrees type hips with hinge, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. This is another figure where the shoulder pads restrict the arms from being extended out to the sides. The ankle joints are loose on my figure which made posing him quite frustrating.

Comparison shots. These Thor 2 figures have some the best detail among the 3.75" Marvel movie figures.

Great figure. I'll probably pick up one more of him since he's a troop builder. Thanks for viewing!
