Singapore – In celebration of the
International Friendship Day which falls on the first Sunday of August (4th
August 2013), pop-culture phenomenon, MY LITTLE PONY, from branded play
company, Hasbro, will be holding a fan outing this Saturday, 3rd
August 2013 along the Orchard Road shopping belt. The outing, inspired
by the popular My Little Pony (MLP) animation series which bears the tagline
‘Friendship is Magic’, is open to the public and invites everyone to celebrate
the premise of ‘Friendship’ with each other – regardless of whether you’re a
fan or a neophyte.
The event, which will take place between 2 – 6pm this Saturday
along Orchard Road starting from ION Orchard, urges fans to come fully decked
in their MLP-inspired costumes and attire as a sign of solidarity in order to
spread the ‘magic of friendship’ even further.
As a token of appreciation to MLP fans everywhere, Hasbro
Singapore has prepared MLP-goodies that will be given out to the first 1000
fans who join in the festivities this Saturday. In
addition, fans can also stand to receive a MLP ‘cutie mark’, which pays homage
to the animated series where iconic symbols magically appear on a pony’s flank
once they discover their special talent in life.
Fans are also encouraged to take as many photos and post
their photos onto social media (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) with the
hashtag #HasbroSingapore in celebration of the event.
