There hasn't been much DC stuff of late, for me anyway. I'm not keen on the New 52 or Injustice figures and I've been selective with those from the "old" universe. Here's a look at the Club Infinite Earths Exclusive figure Monsieur Mallah and the Brain.
It's hard to mistake Monsieur Mallah. He's just about the only gorilla character who wears a beret. The figure is a repaint of the DCUC Gorilla Grodd with a new head sculpt. Both the head and body have great fur and skin detail. His eyes are especially well done. They are very realistic. His look wouldn't be complete without a bandolier and he has on a lenghty one.
As mentioned, Monsieur Mallah uses the same body as Gorilla Grodd. Grodd has black fur while Mallah's is brownish.
Monsieur Mallah is accompanied by The Brain. The figure is just one plastic piece with no articulation. Mine's a little warped as you can see. He's got a mean sculpted face on his container unit and it's well painted with metallic paint.
Monsieur Mallah comes with a rifle. There's nice detail on it and it's well painted. His grip on the rifle is a little loose. He's supposed to hold it as shown in the next image.
I prefer to have him hold it at the clip portion so he can shoot straight without holding the rifle too low. The grip is also more secure. He cannot hold the rifle in his left hand as his fingers are closed more.
The rifle can be pegged on the back of the bandolier.
Articulation. Monsieur Mallah has a ball joint neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, single hinge elbows, wrist sivel and hinge, peg hips and ankle swivel.
