The Avengers 3.75" Cosmic Spear Loki

The Avengers movie opens in a little over a week! Can't wait for it! I'll be posting about several figures from the toy line. First up is the main villain, Loki.

Loki is a pretty good figure. His attire is outstanding. Almost all areas of his armour has sculpted detail. And even the "cloth" areas are textured. Very nice. The cape is great too, flowy and billowing like. Unfortunately its also quite heavy for him and it causes him to fall backwards a lot. You may have noticed that he's leaning forward in the pic. The paint on his body is great. Can't say the same for his face. His pupils were applied on the upper eyelids. And there's slop on his face. On the worst figure I've across the gold from his helmet covered the whole of his mouth. A small redeeming bit is that the little hair showing at the back is black and not gold.

Close up of the his head and attire.

Of the movie Loki figures below, I think this figure looks the best. He's not as dull.

This figure is not named Cosmic Spear Loki for nothing. One of his accessories is a spear with the cosmic cube attached on it. Pretty cool. The spear has got nice detail on it and is well painted. The other accessory is some sort of double axe. This weapon is more suited for someone like Executioner. Its got a gimmick. Push the green switch to make the hidden blades pop out.

Articulation. He's got a ball joint neck, ball hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbows, ball hinge hips, thigh swivel and single hinge knees. Its rather lacking. Just one more point and I would've felt better about it, that being a waist or torso swivel.

He'll disply fine with other movie figures.

I like this figure. The articulation is lacking but appearance wise he looks great. Do check the paint on his face if you're picking up this figure. That's all for now, thanks for viewing!
