Marvel Legends Series Maggott (Bonebreaker BAF)

Here's a look at the Marvel Legends Maggott.

I don't know much about Maggott but I do like what I see. I'm liking his size and bulk. He's supposed to be a big guy from what I gather. His body reuses the Hercules body from the Thanos BAF wave. They changed the knee pads and gave him new pinless arms. The sleeves were sculpted. The upper part of the sleeves is textured and look similar to his coat. Sorry I didn't get a pic of that. The large shoulder pads are attached on his coat at his shoulders. They are flexible and will allow some arm articulation. His white shirt was painted. The belt is a separate piece and is textured. I like that they painted the buckle. The new knee pads are roundish and have studs on them. The coat is really nice. I love the look of it. It's textured and you can make out the pockets, stitching, seams and wrinkles on it. Great stuff!

Maggott looks like a friendly person. He kinda reminds me of Strong Guy with that tuft of hair at the top. He wears a big smile on his face. He has quite a bit of facial lines. You can make out the wrinkles on his forehead. The teeth were well done. His lips were painted a darker blue tone compared to his skin tone. They did the eyes really well. He has bloodshot eyes. You can make out the red outer areas. The cornea is brownish and the pupils are black in colour. Very nice!

From what I've seen online Maggott typically wears a pair of red sunglasses. I wish Hasbro had included them. Fortunately we don't have to look far for an alternative pair. He can borrow the ones from Bonebreaker. They stay on well and he looks a lot cooler with them.

Accessories. He comes with two slugs. The included BAF parts are the head, sunglasses and a weapon for Bonebreaker.

Maggott's abilities mainly come from the two slugs. They have powerful enzymes to eat and digest any solid objects, and transfer the energy back to him. This enhances his strength and stamina among other things. He actually named the two slugs Eany and Meany. I don't know how to differentiate them. Or if they can be differentiated. They look the same to me. They are pre-posed. One has a slight curl while the other is coiled up. They have a tough looking shell exterior. On the underside you can see the legs and sculpted segments. Their bright red eyes were also sculpted and you can make out their mouths as well. Very nice!

Shown below is probably the best way for him to carry the slugs. They can be switched around. And he can hold them quite decently in his hands.

Articulation. He's got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, boot swivel and ankle hinge and pivot. He can look up and down well. The shoulder pads are flexible so he can still raise his arms somewhat. The shoulder pads will get raised as well. The elbows function very well. His coat will get in the way of his leg articulation. And also because of it he cannot do much low poses.

Comparison shots.

Great figure! I'm glad Hasbro released him. He's an interesting looking character which I probably would not have thought about to make into a figure. Thanks for viewing!
