The last two from this series, Dr Doom and the Xemnu BAF.
This here is God Emperor Doom, the ruler of Battleworld from the 2015 Secret Wars story. The story is alright but do I want figures based on it? No. That's cause I'm very unlikely to display them and will only take them out occasionally for a pic. I'll stick to the main default looks for display. Space is at a premium... I'm glad for those who want this version of Doom though. Dr Doom largely reuses parts from the previous figure from the Super Skrull BAF series. The head, upper arms, legs and skirt piece are reused. The torso is new, as are the forearms with stuck on gloves and his cape. There's some nice sculpted detail on his torso. It looks awkward to me. I guess I'm not used to seeing him like this. The armour can easily be used for a battle-damaged default looking Doom. It just needs some torn up tunic on top. He's not supposed to have the holster with this look but I'm okay with it. One thing I don't like is the noticeable gap between his hood and cap. There's not much we can do about it. Sticking it down may affect neck articulation.
Here's a close-up of his face. Perhaps I should try to stick the two ends of the hood together at least.
Accessories. He comes with a gripping right hand, a gun holding right hand, a left fist, a gun which can be found in his holster, and the skeleton of Thanos.
SPOILER: In the story God Emperor Doom actually rips out Thanos's skeleton in a memorable scene. It's cool that they included it. They also did it very well. The sculpt looks great and I like that they did some shading for it. Very nice! There is a hinge at the jaw so Doom can play puppet with it at something when he gets bored. Lol.
Next up the Xemnu BAF. Here's the parts list:
- Head - Red Skull
- Torso - Lady Deathstrike
- Right Arm - A.I.M Scientist Supreme
- Left Arm - Dormammu
- Right Leg - Arcade
- Lefg Leg - The Hood
Xemnu is a character I'm not familiar with. So from Google, he's an alien monster who crash landed on Earth after escaping from prison. He's very strong, has telepathy, telekinesis and the power of mass hypnosis. That's a pretty solid skill set. The figure mostly reuses the Sasquatch body. The head, hands and feet are new. And he wears a new thick looking belt which is a separate piece. I love the look of Xemnu, especially his fur covered face. He reminds me a lot of those classic monsters you see in cartoons. He looks really fierce with those red eyes. His hands and feet I feel don't quite match up with his fierceness. They look more like a Muppet's hands and feet rather than a monster's. There's some bluish grey shading on the front of his body. There's none on his back.
Here's a close-up. I really like the fur detail.
On his left hand is an integrated control pad. I'm not sure what it does. I like that they gave it some paint detail.
Articulation
Xemnu has a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, elbow hinge, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. He cannot look up or down. He can only turn his head just a bit. The belt prevents the use of the ab crunch. You maybe can get him to bend forward and back a little.
Dr Doom has a ball hinge upper neck, ball joint lower neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ball joint waist, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. He can look up and down quite well, and can also tilt his head well. There's decent range at the waist joint.
Comparison shots. I like the colours of Xemnu better than Wendigo. There's too much blue on him.
God Emperor Doom is okay. Xemnu is more interesting to me. Thanks for viewing!

The Thanos skull and backbone accessory is literally like the Bat Outta Hell melee weapon from Team Fortress 2.
"Meh" on the Doom figure but definitely love the skull and the Xenmu BAF is nice.
Doom buck minus the skirt can be used as a different model more buff Ultron.
