GIJoe Classified Series Lady Jaye

Yo Joe! It's Lady Jaye!

Lady Jaye is a key character for me. Love her in the RAH cartoon which I watched a lot of. I would have liked her look to be based on that, with the dark green pants, but this is still good. If need be I can just apply some paint. Her head sculpt is nice. She has a good resemblance to how she appeared in the cartoon. Her eyes and lips were well done. There's a black dot on her nose which I don't think is supposed to be there. I will have to see if I can remove it later. There's nice detail for her hair. I like the look of it. Her uniform in plain and simple which is how it should be. There's a good amount of detail on it. You can make out the seams and the wrinkles. The dark patches seem to be some sort of padding. Her belt is a separate piece, as is the strap across her chest. The best part is that she has double jointed elbows! Posing her will be fun.

Accessories. She comes with a swapable cap/hair, a javelin launcher, two javelins, two spearheads and a mace type attachment for the javelins, a knife and a backpack.

I don't think we've gotten swappable hair from Hasbro before so this is a first. The hair sits really well and you wouldn't think it was a separate piece. She's bald underneath. I wish they could have done it without the ridge so it would look proper. Then we can use the the head for some bald female characters.

Here's how she looks with the cap. It's her default look in the comics. I prefer her without it.

A closer look at the "mace" attachment for the javelin. I'm actually not sure what it is. It could also be some sort of claw. Do let me know if you know what it is.

The backpack has slots in it and you can put one spear and the mace attachment in it. Nice!

Here's how she looks fully equipped. One javelin can be clipped onto the side of the backpack.

And here's the back view. The backpack has some nice sculpted detail on it. It also has a video camera attached.

The camera has swivel in a couple of places and you can make it compact like you see in the following pic. It sticks out a little far. I would have liked it to have one more swivel so it can be tucked in a little more.

Articulation. She's got a ball hinge upper neck, a ball joint lower neck, ball hinge shoulders, butterfly joints, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel and up and down hinge wrists, ball joint torso, ball waist, ball hips with drop down hinge, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, boot swivel and ankle hinge and pivot. She can look up and down well.  The elbows and knees have good range. She can only bend forward a little. She can bend backwards more.

Comparison shots.

Great figure! Thanks for viewing!

Awesome figure. Great post. Love the photos with Gwen Stacy and Gung Ho. Hysterical. Always appreciate your creative, funny shots to end the post.

She looks fantastic. I just wish she came with a pistol, though. The vintage figure had an ankle holster if I'm remembering correctly and it seems odd for her to not have an actual firearm of any kind.

Thanks all!

@Barbecue17 - I can't recall if she had an ankle holster. A pistol would have been nice. I guess they want to appeal to RAH collectors more hence the javelins.

I was thinking that the black headed javelin was either her net javelin that opened into a net to snag foes or some kind of explosive warhead.
