Superior Ock!
For those who do not know this here is Doc Ock in a cloned Peter Parker body and suited up in a costume similar to Spider-man's. He's known as Superior Octopus. I was a little surprised with this figure. I initially thought he reused the Sunfire body but no. He actually has a new upper torso! Must have missed that bit of detail when viewing those con pics. The torso is similar in shape and size to the Sunfire body. Instead of an ab crunch it has a ball joint. I think it's good for Spider characters so they can contort their bodies and better show their agility. Also new are the hands with the sculpted on plating on the back of his hands and the knuckles. The arms and legs look to be the same as Sunfire's. The bracers at his wrists are separate pieces. The figure is quite shiny, especially at the legs. I think it's okay. Superior Ock does have quite a slick appearance. The lines for the logo are slightly misaligned on my figure. They did not paint in the design on the butterfly joints so there's a bit of a disjointed look at that area. The eyes were sculpted and they did a good job with the painted outline and design of his mask.
A close-up to better show the sculpt on his hands on also his head.
Tried on some other heads. Peter Parker's can fit and also Dirk Anger who I thought bears a resemblance to Elliot Tolliver, which is an alias Doc Ock went by.
Accessories. He comes with a mini backpack and four tentacle arms. The arms have a fixed shape and are not bendable... The included BAF parts are both arms of Demogoblin.
The claw hands are detachable. It's a good thing so we don't have to struggle too much when pulling them out of the package.
And here is how he looks with the tentacles. They are not as bad as seen in the following pics. The arms were warped out of the package and I think I did not insert the arms properly. Sorry about that. Better pics below.
For variation.
Articulation. He's got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, butterfly joints, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ball joint torso, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, calf swivel and ankle hinge and pivot. How much he can bend forward and slant to the sides is illustrated in the following pics. He can bend backwards about the same amount as bending forward. It's not bad. The best is if Hasbro could give us a ball joint torso with an ab crunch.
Action time!
Comparison shots.
A nice figure overall. But once again we have to come up with something for the tentacle arms. Thanks for viewing!

Cool looking figure. Not sure I can spend money on another spider-man variant, but very cool.
