So a bunch of stuff just showed up. It's not at the best of times for me but let's see how much I can get through. Here's a look at the Marvel Legends Vintage X-men Storm.
The vintage X-men packaging really takes me back. More so than the vintage Marvel series. It's probably cause I collected these more. You know at one point I had almost every 5" Marvel figure there was. Not just the X-men but the other lines as well. And the best part, majority of them I managed to pick up for about three dollars or so. Good times...
Storm finally makes her much eagerly anticipated appearance in her Jim Lee costume. I'll say it's good but it's not quite what I was hoping for. I guess the plain white of her costume is throwing me off. I don't know... perhaps a tinge of blue or silver will do the trick. Still, I'll take it. The head sculpt is decent. Some expression would help improve the look. The hair has good shape and volume and I like that it has some shading in it. The hair does weigh the figure back. That along with weak, rubbery legs makes standing her up rather tedious. The body is new. She's got the puffy sleeves and there are creases and wrinkles on her costume. Even at the hips. The yellow stripe was sculpted, as was the belt. I'm not sure if the thighs are new. They appear thicker than what we've seen before. The shoulder pads are separate pieces. I'm fine with the soft goods cape. Considering her difficulty in standing I'm glad it's soft goods.

Check out her lightning earrings.
The shoulder pads are removable. They are attached through a single peg. The cape hangs on her back through the plastic strips which pegs together with the shoulder pads. It feels quite secure but to be safe try not to tug on her cape too hard in case you break it.
And here's a good look at the back of her costume. There are creases on this side as well.
Accessories. She comes with a pair of lightning blast effect pieces which we've seen before.
Articulation. She has a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ball joint torso, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. The shoulder pads have swivel and can be moved up and down a little bit. She cannot look up due to her hair. Head rotation is also restricted by it. She can look down fine. The shoulder pads prevent her from raising her arms straight up. The torso joint has good range to the sides and back. She can only bend forward just a bit.
Comparison shots.
Great figure! The main 90s cartoon team is finally complete! Thanks for viewing!
