Marvel Legends Series Spider-man: Homecoming Spider-man & MJ Two-Pack

Here's a look at Spider-man and MJ from the Homecoming two-pack.

Let's get Spidey out of the way first. He's basically the same figure we got previously like from the Vulture BAF series and the Iron Man Sentry two-pack. The obvious difference is the jacket and the sleeved arms. You may recall he briefly wore this look in Homecoming. The scene where he got stuck in a storage facility. There are also a couple of other differences. The blue is of a different tone and the lines on the blue areas are darker. I'm not a fan of that as I think it makes his costume more "busy". Now the figure is cool and all but I think most of us would much rather have got a Peter Parker figure in civilian attire.

A closer look at the jacket. The logo was done well. You can actually make out the words. It reads "Midtown School of Science and Technology". Click images to enlarge.

The jacket is removable. There's not much point in doing so though considering the sleeved arms. Underneath the top yellow jacket you'll find a separate navy hoodie jacket, or at least part of it anyway. A huge portion of it is missing as you can see. I guess they did that so he wouldn't be overly bulky. The zipper was painted which is nice. It helps with the overall look.

The unmasked Peter Parker may be used with this figure.

For accessories he only comes with an extra pair of web-shooting hands.

MJ is the main reason for getting this two-pack. Her actual name is Michelle Jones according to Wiki. I had to look it up... Guess I'll need to watch Homecoming again. It's also a good time to refresh before Far From Home. MJ reuses some parts from the Netflix Jessica Jones, such as the torso and upper legs. The arms with the rolled up sleeves are new, as are the lower legs and boots. There's nice detail on the jacket. The black stripes on her sleeves were painted. I like that they also painted the zipper. She has a good head sculpt. There's a good likeness. She looks a little annoyed. There's nice shape and detail for the hair.

She comes with an alternate head. I prefer this to the default one above. She wears a hint of a smile and has a more friendly appearance. With her hair tied up into a ponytail more of her face can be seen and the sculpt and likeness shines through more.

She also comes with an extra set of open hands. They look too big if you ask me.

Articulation

MJ has a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ball joint torso, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. With the default head she can look down but not up due to her hair. Head rotation is also a little hindered. With the ponytail head she can look up and down fine. The elbows bend at most ninety degrees.

Spider-man has a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot.

Comparison shots.

Both nice figures. I like MJ. Spidey unfortunately will be heading to storage until I can find space for a Spidey display. Thanks for viewing!
