Marvel Legends Series Grey Gargoyle

I thought I should finish up the Kree Sentry BAF series so here at last is a look at the Grey Gargoyle.

Grey Gargoyle is the other comic based figure in this series aside from Genis-Vell. I'm always happy for a villain. Our heroes need more of them to go up against! I'm most familiar with Grey Gargoyle from the 90s Iron-Man cartoon so that's where I'll put him. Grey Gargoyle reuses the Grim Reaper body. The figure was cast in grey and has black, white and grey specks in it giving the appearance of stone. For me it didn't quite hit the mark as it reminds me a lot of a counter top surface. A textured body would have made it better. It's a very good attempt though. I think the left hand and claw feet are new. His gloves and boots were painted. The belt is a separate piece. He's got a great head sculpt. I really love his evil, smiling expression. It suits him very well. The mask and moustache were sculpted. There's nice detail for his hair which is of darker shade of grey. His cape is unique. It's slung around his arms. There's less chance of it falling off this way though the look is a bit awkward. The cape was cast similar to his body, and it's textured. The surface has a rough appearance. I don't know if you can make out in the pics. Click images to enlarge.

A closer look at his face. They also did the teeth really well.

Aside for the cape, he does not have any accessories. The included BAF piece is the head of the Kree Sentry.

Articulation. He's got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, boot swivel and ankle hinge and pivot.

Comparison shots.

Nice figure! Thanks for viewing!

I found him an odd choice for the wave, but as you said we need more villains! As always, great photography!

Love GG.
Your pictures are great, and I'll be taking inspiration from them in how to pose him.

Grey Gargoyle was also a member of the 80s Baron Zemo led Masters of evil, so we now have another member of that team.
