Marvel Legends Series Vulture BAF

It's about time I got round to the Marvel Legends Vulture BAF.

It's listed as a BAF but you don't build the figure in this case.  What you're actually building is his flight gear. The figure is sold individually.

Vulture is based on his appearance in Spider-man: Homecoming. I like the look which is more practical. Here he's wearing a flight jacket with a metallic support harness on top, and on his lower legs is some protective armour with claw-like feet. He is quite tall for a normal sized character and that is due to the armoured lower legs. There's great sculpted detail all round. I like the fur detail of the collar and the wrinkles in his jacket. The metallic areas look strong and solid. The paint apps are good. The buckles and the zip of the jacket were painted. The support harness and leg armour are gun metal in colour. The fur collar has got some dark brown wash applied. He wears a helmet. Those bright green eyes contrasts very well and gives him a menacing look.

Vulture comes with the main body of his flight gear and a stand. I'm a little disappointed we did not an unmasked alternate head.

The rest of the parts for his flight pack you'll need to get from the other figures in the wave. Here's the list:

Left wing - Moon Knight
Right wing - Cosmic Spider-man
Left turbine - Tombstone
Right turbine - Beetle
Left inner wing piece - Spider-man (home made costume)
Right inner wing piece - Spider-man (default costume)
Main body of flight gear  - Vulture

There's great sculpted detail on his flight gear. Good paint apps too. The stand comes in handy to display it. With a bit of paint it can be used in a diorama.

What's most impressive is the wingspan. One issue though is that the wings are too heavy for the hinges when they are horizontal. The wings will drop and face downwards.

You can get a better idea of the wingspan. The flight pack pegs securely in his back. It is quite heavy for him to carry and he tends to fall backwards a lot. It is possible to get him to stand with it though.

The flight gear has a number of movable joints. The turbines and inner wing piece are on hinges and can move forwards and back. The blades of the turbines as one circular piece is on a hinge and can rotate within the circular frame. The outer portion of the wings have a swivel and hinge.

As for the figure's articulation, he's got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. He can look down well, and up quite decently. The ab crunch allows one click forward and one click back. Despite the double joints the knees can can at most bend ninety degrees. The sculpt of the armoured legs restricts it.

Comparison shots.

Nice figure! The flight gear is great. Thanks for viewing!

Would you mind taking a picture of Vulture with a Black Series figure? I'm considering swapping his legs out to stop them looking so skinny, but I want to see how the size compares.
Thanks
