Marvel Legends Series Angela

And the Marvel Legends train continues! This time it's the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Titus BAF assortment. First up, Angela.

Angela is a relatively new character to the Marvel Universe having been introduced a few years back. She is the daughter of Odin, which of course makes her Thor's sister. I don't know if she's worthy of lifting Mjonir. But in my opinion she is worthy of being the best Marvel Legends figure released this year. Even though it's only February. Check her out! She looks amazing. Aside from the midriff the rest of the figure is made up of all new parts with a good deal of sculpted detail. There's great work done for her armour. The shoulder armour are separate pieces stuck on. The ribbon thingy, belt and cloth piece, and the gold elbow plating are also separate pieces. I really love the inclusion the elbow plating. She's more comic accurate with them. Props to Hasbro for that. And also for not simply painting them on. You can shift them so as to use the elbow joints. There's good detail on the belt. You can make out the belt holes and studs. And I like that the buckle was painted. Attached on the back is a sheath for her sword. I have yet to talk about her head sculpt which looks great. Though her expression is neutral she looks mean thanks to her all white eyes and the winged helm that she wears. Her wind swept hair also gives her more presence. She's not someone you want to mess with. The paint apps are good. Her lips and the markings under her eyes were well painted.

Just to better show you the winged helm. It reminds me of She-Ra.

A close up of the ribbon thingy she wears around her neck. The XO pattern was sculpted. Nice! It's coloured in the comics but I don't think it would turn out as great if they did so for the figure.

Accessories. She comes with her sword and two blades of sorts. All three have nice sculpted detail on the handles. The sword is new and I like the shape of the guard. It can be stored in the sheath. The fit is a little tight and doing so may damage the paint of the sword. The BAF part is the right leg of Titus.

Articulation. She's got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbows, swivel hinge right wrist, swivel and up and down left wrist hinge, ball joint torso, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot. She can look down well but not up due to her hair. Her hair also hinders head and shoulder rotation. The shoulder armour limit how much she can extend her arms out to the sides. Take note to move the gold plating at her elbows before moving those joints. Her right wrist cannot be flexed outwards due to the armour. The torso joint allows her bend her body front, back and to the sides decently. The ankle hinge has a great range of motion. The cloth piece will get in the way of low poses and the belt will get raised.

Comparison shots.

Great figure! There's great sculpted detail, good paint apps and paint detail, and comes with a couple of essential accessories. Thanks for viewing!

Excellent pics as always, Jason. Definitely the best figure of the wave, IMO. Look forward to your review of Darkhawk!
