Here's a look at the S.H.Figuarts Ant-Man.
A figure which I've been eyeing since it was revealed, Ant-Man based on his appearance in Captain America: Civil War. He looks great! I really love the sculpt of the helmet and the metallic paint used. There looks to be a thin piece of of translucent plastic covering the eye holes of the plastic. They give the appearance of actual lenses. Very nice! There's great detail on his suit. The red areas and the inside forearm area are textured. Wrinkles can be seen at his shoulders, back of his arms and at the back of his legs. The front of the suit looks a little stiff and could maybe use some wrinkles. I'm just being nitpicky there. I do have issues with the figure. First, his head falls off easily at the lower neck joint which is very annoying when you're trying to pose the figure. The other thing are the "shoulder pads". He's not supposed to have them. And to make things worse they are on hinges which make them more noticeable, especially when arm articulation is in use.
Accessories. He comes with a pair of open hands. I love the seams and wrinkles on the insides of his leather like gloves.
He also comes with a miniature version of himself. (pictured on the right in the following pic). It's even smaller than the one that came with the Hasbro Ant-Man.
He's got great articulation. He's got a ball joint on the upper and lower neck, dumbbell joint shoulders with a hinge on the outer ball, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, revolver joint wrists, ball joint torso, ball joint waist, ball joint hips on a hinge, some thigh swivel, double jointed knees, ankle hinge and pivot, and toe hinge. The "shoulder pads" have hinges as well.
Comparison shots.
Great figure! I have some issues with it but the good outweighs the bad. Thanks for viewing!
