You've seen a "Red Ant", now here's a Black Ant.
Ant-Man but not really Ant-man. This figure is actually Black Ant, a Life Model Decoy (LMD) of Eric O'Grady who was Ant-Man at the time. He's got a great head sculpt. There's some nice detail on the helmet. I love the neon orange paint used. Those areas glow in the comics and this gives it that effect. There's even two dots of it on the mouthpiece. Nice! The antenna was done better here. They each are attached through a small circular section in the helmet. Unlike on Giant Man which had a unsightly, noticeable rectangular chunk in his forehead. The body reuses the "pizza" Spider-man body. I think it suits Black Ant well. The belt is a separate piece. The paint application for his costume is good. The lines are sharp and straight.
Articulation. He's got a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, chest expansion, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot.
Comparison shots.
Good figure. He only made a short appearance in the comics. I'll say he's nice to have but not really a must get. Thanks for viewing!
