Marvel Universe Rhino

Finally some new Marvel Universe figures! First up is classic Rhino.

The figures I got are on the trilingual packaging. There's no comic shot included. I don't know about the US cards.

Rhino was one of my most wanted figures since he was shown at SDCC, or was it NYTF... Anyway, he's simply an awesome figure. Just check out the detail on the figure. His suit is textured and there's little bumps and cracks. His toe nails are worn and has scratches on them. His horns are made of soft plastic and they too are textured. The body is light grey in colour and the dark grey was painted on. I'm okay with it but I would have preferred if a single colour was picked. There's just a little too much contrast. The joints were painted dark grey too but after fiddling around with the figure, a lot of it has been scrapped off. Speaking of joints, his hands pop out very easily when turned.

He's got a great head sculpt. I like the expression on his face. He looks pissed. His eyes were well painted. His face paint is rather thick and its spilled over onto his suit on both sides of his face.

Here's the side view. The rhino eyes are there.

Articulation. He's got a ball joint neck, ball hinge shoulders, swivel hinge elbows, wrist swivel, torso pivot, ball hips, swivel hinge knees and ankle hinge and pivot. His head can only be rotated and he cannot look up or down. He can bend forwards well.

He stands well, even on one leg and can do a charging pose.

Comparison shots. I can finally replace the Fiercest Foes Rhino.

Rhino is part of wave 22. There's another Spider-man villain in this wave and he'll be up next. Thanks for viewing!

I wonder if he will make it down here to ole Mexico. We still have Absorbing man on the shelves.
