I went for both days of AFA12. There were lots of interesting things to see. As always I took tons of photos which I'll sort through as quickly as I can. I thought I'll share some of it with you first.
The venue for AFA12 was at the Singapore Expo. The following is the ticketing queue at around 8.30am. It stretched back to the entrance of Hall 8. Its a good thing it didn't rain otherwise things would have been really incovenient.
The following is the floor plan of the Festival area. In Part 1 I'll just be touching on some of the booths in the red square. (Floor plan image taken from the AFA site)

Once you've squeezed through the entrance, you'll first see the Good Smile Company booth where you can see and purchase items like figma and Nendoroids.
Nico Nico, a Japanese video sharing site, shared the booth with Good Smile Company. They were streaming performances and interviewing cosplayers.
Next up is the Tamashii Nations booth.
In case you're wondering what that is.
Here's a sample of what you could see there.
If that worked up your collector appetite you could purchase some of the items over at the Bandai booth.
Speaking of Bandai, you could check out more of their products at the Gundam area.
More Japanese toys and merchandise were available from the Muse, Toy Coin, La Tendo and Madoka Magica booths.
You could get up close with some of the invited talent and purchase related merchandise. At the Horipro booth, you could catch Sea*A, Daisuke Kishio and May'n.

At the Amuse booth, you could catch Artistes such as FLOW and Baby Metal.
There was also the Rurouni Kenshin zone there where you could see the actual props used in the live action movie.
At the Danny Choo booth, you could see lots of Mirai Suenaga items ranging from t-shirts, badges, posters and dolls. She's the mascot for Culture Japan.
You could have your picture taken with some of the the characters of the K anime series over at the Animax booth.
Sing your favourite anime songs at the Karaoke booth.
Exclusive AFA merchandise like CDs, T-shirts and lanyards were available at the AFA shop.
Right, thats about it for Part 1.
