Marvel Legends Series Crossbones and Spymaster (Crimson Dynamo BAF)

Hi all! I hope you're all okay. It's been over two months since the last update. And I've got quite a backlog... It's unlikely I'll go through all of them unfortunately but I will try and post when I can. Just hope there are no further disruptions... I thought I'll finish up the Crimson Dynamo BAF series so here are Crossbones and Spymaster.

There's not much to say about the two figures really. Both are basically repaints. Classic Crossbones you see below reuses the Hyperion body with new boots. The boots are shiny which helps differentiate them from his full black attire. The skin tone at his neck area was painted. The logo was well painted on. The belt and holsters is a separate piece. The pouches have nice detail on them. The holsters and the straps at his thighs are textured and I like that they painted the buckles. His head sculpt is okay. The mask details were all painted. I do like how the straps extend out from the back of his mask. This Crossbones looks rather lacklustre to me. He's lacking presence. I know this is his classic look but this comes across like his training attire or something. I much prefer the look of the one from the Aries wave.

Accessories. He comes with two light grey pistols and two black double barrelled shotgun like handguns. I can't quite recall where we've seen the grey pistols before. I believe the black guns are the same as the one that came with Cable. The grey pistols may be stored in the holsters at his waist. The included BAF part is the right arm of Crimson Dynamo.

I prefer the bigger guns. They look like they pack more firepower and I think it's more suitable for him to carry.

Next up, Spymaster.

This guy is sad. No I don't mean the figure. What I meant to say is that Spymaster looks sad. No thanks to the stream of "tears" running down from his eyes. I'm not familiar with the character so I went and Googled him. What do you know he really does have the "tears" design. Hasbro should have painted it better instead of having them come down straight. The head sculpt is new. The design on the upper portion was sculpted. The body reuses the Bucky Cap body. The logo was well painted on. The belt is a separate piece and is new. If I didn't know who he was I would have thought he was someone from Supersoaker. The font of the S buckle reminds me of that.

Accessories. He comes with a red pistol. It's the same pistol as what Crossbones has. It looks more appropriate with Spymaster. The included BAF part is the right leg of Crimson Dynamo.

Articulation

Crossbones has a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, wrists swivel and up and down hinge, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, boot swivel and ankle hinge and pivot.

Spymaster has a ball hinge neck, ball hinge shoulders, bicep swivel, double jointed elbows, swivel hinge wrists, ab crunch, waist rotation, ball hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees, calf swivel and ankle hinge and pivot.

Comparison shots.

Both figures are just okay to me. Thanks for viewing!

Very Cool photos. Welcome back. I like Crossbones, but Spymaster seems like a waste, especially to complete a BAF. Oh well.
